Secretary-General Appoints New Global Compact Board Members

(New York, 16 May 2011) - Following an earlier announcement of new Global Compact Board Mermbers on 1 March, UN Secretary-General has now appointed two additional members to the UN's highest-level advisory body involving the private sector: 

Mr. Fu Chengyu
Chairman of Board
China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group)

Mr. Li Decheng
Standing Vice President and Director General
China Enterprise Confederation/China Enterprise Directors Association

The next meeting of the Global Compact Board will be held on 21 June at UN Headquarters in New York.
