UNITED NATIONS, New York, 16 July 2019 — The second annual Sustainable Development Goals in Brazil event brought together stakeholders from business, Government and civil society to discuss progress and challenges in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the country.

“Brazilian companies are motivated and they see themselves as responsible for achieving the 2030 Agenda — working to incorporate and better understand ways to approach this subject,” said Sonia Favaretto, President of Global Compact Network Brazil. “I think that the main challenges that we have seen is a clear understanding of what the SDGs are in practice and how they impact investor decisions and how companies can take action.”
